⛦Well, guess we have to go to where it all started⛦

First, it was just them, the god, the creator of everything. The rest was just void, nothingness. The two coexisted for— well, who knows, time had no meaning back then… and it stayed like that until god made their first creations: time and place.

The first place was a floating land in where they'd call a dimension— currently known as the Elysium, or the heaven. A realm full of light and bright colors in the daytime, while the nighttime is dazzled by the many nebulas in the sky. The Elysium contains of 9, smaller dimensions, and legends say anyone passing the highest floor can meet god. Well, not that any being ever did such thing. That aside, the myths forgot to mention the existence of void in there.

The next creation of god was soul, a piece of their holy light itself. In many areas of the Elysium, it began to form the first beings known as the divines, though they went by many different names and change of titles by now. They're all made purely out of magic and lack a physical body, so they can shape into whatever you desire— they exist only to serve you, though they were too clueless to understand it, at the time.

The last creation of god was the material world, what soon came to set limits to the divines' boundless forms, in many ways. God birthed man, and gave them the ability to imagine and make it real for the ones without a physical body— the god, the void, and the divines. They could choose their virtues and their sins, and the punishment with it. Just what was the purpose behind it, for them to no longer be able to express themselves, having to be at the mercy of humans, the lesser beings without magic? To this day, nobody knows the answer of it, nobody can truly communicate with the ultimate, even the Seraph. Still, one chose to question god's grace and authority, his name was Lucifer, god's prettiest angel. “I will never bow to a mortal” he yelled— though it was too late for him, for he fell for the first sin made by mankind, known as pride.

One by one, they fell from the Elysium and down to the planet earth, some done reasonably, some not— all because mankind is expectant. Without their motherland's magic source, they barely remained as a being, for many of them were torn apart into Magia and a few went mad and animalistic. Lucifer, furious by all, used all that was left from his immense power to disrupt the nature and separate earth into 2 sections, the mortal land of overworld and the hell land of underworld. He and his comrades moved to the lower realm, with each of the still-intelligent ones becoming a lord in the 9 floors of hell. Soon enough, they recruited demons— a type of human mutated and evolved to something deemed “monstrous” by the same kind they originated from. Having nowhere else to go to, many of the mythical ones sided with the fallen angels, while some remained as tribes or clans in the overworld still, not accepting Lucifer's offers, because they knew the price they had to pay afterwards.

The demons who submitted themselves, however, got to live the best and the worst they could ever have. On one hand, the “Heart” secured many of their basic needs, on the other hand, the same heart made them the devil's slaves and workers, with no way of escaping anymore. Many had to go through divinely wars, and many of them died by the cruel hands of angels and devils alike, but Lucifer couldn't care less. They were mere mortals to him, still— he has no respect for these filthy creatures.

Many battles and lost lives later, in the Luminar war, by the death of the demon lord Belial and a peace offer from the Elysians, Lucifer stepped forward in silence, a piece of his own magic ripped and placed in his hand. As he brought his hand closer to the angels, he spoke, harsh and blunt, filled with hatred for all. “Until the peace remains between us, this part of me will roam and grow on land— until it forms a life. By the time the beast is born, the gate of hell shall open to us once more, and we'll battle for one last time, during the doom.” And so, the new laws were settled: the doors to heaven and hell closed to mankind and divines, and any public showcase of magic was prohibited in the overworld. From then on, the great battle of Luminar turned in an event forgotten by humans, shrunk to a mere tale and a calender, but forever remembered by the rest of the world— and the floating island the war left in the middle of the 3 continents.

Lucifer decided to start a project of creating near-divine creatures, conceived from a powerful lord and a powerful demon race, making the chance of winning against divinity higher. In the end, it resulted in 3 important figures born in such way in hell's present and history, also known as the Cerberus. From the oldest to younger it follows: Marlena Leviyova, Lyria de Turrim, and Ophelia Aubine. One that is deceased, one who obeys, and one who betrays, all in Lucifer's benefit and detriment. Can you tell which one is who?

The Elysians, on the other hand, had 3 of their powerful angels reincarnated into 3 humans each, for they trusted humanity's limitless powers and potentials for defeating the devil and the beast. Currently, they're known as “Angelborns”, and they had a long history of residing in the world, though they're currently owned and at the mercy of 3 cults: Genesis, Vayikra, and Al-Shams. For now, they all experienced a mortal lifespan, with the angel within them switching to a different host, but once the doom ends— and if they stayed alive— they will be immortal beings.

Finally, after 1003 Luminarian years, the birth of the antichrist arrived, which indicated the final war was close. Not much is known about the beast, and many parts of her current identity was faked by Lucifer, to erase the remnants of the petty, human life she had. All that was needed to be known was that she's Harper Balcom, an “adult”— though clearly younger than 18, a mercenary, and Lucifer's expendable pawn. It is year 1019 Luminarian now, and from here onward, harper goes on a hopeless journey of finding her place in a world unaccepting of who she is, a human and a demon— but also neither of the two. Her adventures are followed by her close friends, who also feel not welcomed anywhere, in many ways both similar and different.

⛦Magic and its evolution⛦

First, there was only a bright and shining form of magic—similar looking to light— which birthed the primordial spirits. After enough usages of “pure magic” and the creation of material world, pure magic broke into 4 narural elements: fire, wind, water, and earth, with each surprisingly having a density higher than the one before them. Alongside natural magics, there is the “neutral element”, existing only among the normal mortals. With nature's usages of the magic, it all went to a certain “wasteland” deep underground, in a different realm, until it returned as pure magic in Elysium. That is before Lucifer changed the order, mixing his power with the wastes and creating the “Tenebris elements”, the shadow version of the ones within nature. They were dark, like void, and the highest form of them all is “hellfire”— which, well, isn't actually just fire! Sadly, its true meaning of Lucifer's fury was lost upon translations. And that… causes harper to think her power was fire, for the entire time, and Lucifer was unbothered to make any corrections for the society and the confused girl.

At first, humans weren't supposed to possess any form of magic, though humanity knows no bound, do they? Their neutral soul mutated with the nature, taking the form of one of the 4 elements at first Eventually, they evolved into multiple elements and mixes, creating new forms of magic and elements and its many variants, no matter how small the difference was. Now, no magical being's soul is the same as any other, like a fingerprint. The same went with the underworld demons and the Tenebris elements, though they had to connect to Lucifer's “heart” first, in order to handle the shadow elements' extreme density. In a way, a human's magic capabilities lies in how much their souls can tolerate the elemental densities. Some so low that they're yet to be qualified for any possession of magic, some so high than even the existence of their 1 soul is insufficient, making them feel empty and incomplete, often to the point of death.

Of course, alongside its many advantages, the disadvantages still exist. One is the cosmic rule set upon them, causing many undiscovered magicians and many more who has to stay hidden from the world. In a way, the number of the mortals with non-neutral elements are way higher than the ones with neutral now, but they may never even discover their true powers and capabilities. Another that is very notable though is the existence of “Magia overload”, a disease like cancer, but within a person's soul. Despite the many advancements in technology, many of the humans oblivious to the existence of miracles haven't found its cause, let alone the cure for it. Still, secret, not so secret anymore organizations exist around the world, with technology kept hidden from society. The reason they stopped being a secret? Well, since the 11 years old antichrist was discovered, the news about “the event“ and existence of Magia rapidly spread all around the world, with magic being rediscovered in the overworld day by day.

⛦categories of living beings⛦

The evolution of magic is fast, can even happen through one's short lifespan. This resulted in mutations happening to the mortals' bodies and changing them. While some remained in the internal organs only like the mages, others showed physical changes too, which created many new categories of living beings.

The non-muted

as the name implies, it refers to normal humans, animals, plants, and any other living beings that didn't mutate ro magic.

The mystics ⤸ click me

Refers to the mortal, mutated living beings, which has many sub-categories to it. It's still a work in progress, so i might update it by the time i explain the overworld more:

Mages: the most basic form of the mystics, referring to the humans who can cast spells and magics. Historically, they weren't hated as much as the demons, though the female mages still were, due clear double standards the old times had. Like i said, mankind is expectant, even towards themselves, when their own hand is covered in dirt and blood. They barely require much Magia from nature, unless they're too magically strong, then they require a higher amount of consumption from nature.

Jinns: first form of demon mutant. Known for their near human appearance, if we don't consider their pointy ears and general floating abilities aside. Still, they require consumption of natural and neutral elements, which with the way nature withered by them and humans could also die from their need of consumption, they were often hated. Well, there's still no denying, consumption of animals and humans specifically is the most sufficient form of meal for all the demons, not just jinns. A jinn who consumes too much Magia, or a higher being's Magia, can ascent into an “Ifrit”.

Sirens: adapted to underwater lifestyle. They're considered “demon” by many, due their need for magic consumption being neutral and natural elements, since some formed a cannibalistic lifestyle and that resulted in the stereotype given to sirens. They mostly live in groups, luring prays towards them. Due their seductive appearance and voices, they also can lure humans underwater. They lay eggs actually, while still being mammals, and many siren tribes and clans are known to have a feminine and matriarchal culture and traditions.

Incubi: another form of demon, known as a really weak one magically. They all have pointy ears, horns, and animalistic tails, and they often live in either deserts or caves, in the overworld. They're speculated to have originated from Jinns and Ifrits. They're quite well known for psychic abilities like mind control.

Vampires: mutated into a strong magic base, but a very weak and frail body. They burn away under the sun and they're not the most suitable for harsh, physical activities, and their stomachs is also sensitive to many form of diets— only drinks can be digested. Because of that, their way of taking magic is often by either drinking the fruits of magical trees (like fruit bats) or from animals (like vampire bats). There was once that the number of blood vampires were greater than fruit vampires, though for survival from humans, the latter grew more in size and population, while majority of the blood vampires reside in the underworld, now. They also need to recharge their Magia really often. Blood vampires' general form of magic is blood manipulation abilities.

Mares: the strongest demon mutant known. They're highly resilient and don't need to consume Magia too much, as they can go on for days without it. Their bodies are also known to have lost their physicality to some extent, giving them temporary shapeshifting abilities. Some consider them quite similar to the angels, biologically. They all generally have power over dreams, and many Mare cultures and traditions have heavy associations with animals, forests, and dreams.

Dracones: the strongest, non demon mutant known. Still, they're not as strong as the Mares, as they can only be either human or dragon, but such strength without requiring any deadly form of Magia consumption is quite impressive. They also do sort of lay eggs like sirens and mares.

Zombies: intelligent form of zombies, revived by Selene. There's very few of them and can only be found around Mortimer mansion. They all have to wear masks and fully cover their bodies for safety reasons. They're feared but not really considered demons, since they're all part of the Cult of Genesis.

Familiars: like how humans separated themselves into them and other animals or plants, the same happened with the mutant ones. “Familiar” is a general term for mystical that mutated from non human species, into shapes and forms that varies more than human mutants. Due the ever growing types of familiars, not enough scientific names could be made for them. For an example, the bestest name you can see for a dog mutant familiar is “Lupus familiar”.

Cambions: generally refers to any mix of any categories between the mystics, the non-mutant, and/or divine. The way a cambion is born depends on the mother's biology. Cambions with genetic incompatibility have a higher risk of a getting Magica overload.

Fusions: an artificial, painful method to create cambions using science. You break or take a part of a person's body and attach another being's to the missing/damaged part. This method can cause certain physical deformities or an asymmetrical face and body shape.

The divines

the primordial beings, the ones without a material form, currently known as the angels. Even those that fell from grace still hold onto the humanly expectations on them to some levels. Why else would the majority choose such humanoid shapes and forms, anyway?

⛦Underworld: Below The Hellmouth Gate⛦

Seeing the portal in her bedroom finally opened, the young girl quietly walked down the helical staircase within. At the end of the spiral, she spot him with some other people behind him. Walking any lower would lead her to a black liquid that seemed to suck all the lights in, keeping it forever dark.

This is the hellmouth gate, the entrance to the realm of demons and sinners. The Tenebris water within the gate is hell's protector against any intruder (except for the “visitors”), swimming in the water even for certain groups of people connected to the heart is extremely difficult and can lead to fatal damages to the body and even death. This also made leaving hell impossible, unless the person has lady Leviathan's approval. She'd give you a protection against the toxic water, this way. Lady leviathan and her clan, the Leviyova, are all in charge of controlling hellmouth gate.

Once you enter the water, the gravity starts to change and will be fully inverted once you reach the ground. So what seems like ascending is actually descending down the 9 floors of hell. The water's conditions also seem to grow less dangerous the closer you get to its other side.

The vast, seemingly endless sea that separated the overworld and the underworld, though venturing beyond the floor's limits is impossible. The place outside the said limits is considered “out of bounds” while the inside is called “Korolevstvo”. Korolevstvo is 11 kilometers in height with 6,500 kilometers radius, making it about 133 million square kilometers large, nearly as large as the pacific ocean.

The ones who become an executioner are cannibals, ripping and eating the criminals to pieces, mercilessly. A lot of the members of the clan become an executioner, because the salary is somewhat higher for them and they've starved and suffered too much to care about the morality of their actions, anymore. All Chernov members have dark hair colors.

Aquamarine restaurant: a luxurious restaurant for the nobles and high class people only. Marlena can often be found there.

Fashion:

Both men and women dress feminine there, often wearing dark, flowey clothes, often with skirts, though with bioluminescent effects to make them stand out. The richer a siren is, the more pearls and gemstones they wear. Piercings are also quite popular in there, especially “ring piercing”, because they can't wear rings normally due their fins. A ring piercing isn't anything painful, as it's just 2 holes on the 2 fins on the two sides of the finger.

Fun fact: there is a type of fish familiar that produces a special form of fabric from their mouths. It has a layer of water element to it, which makes it waterproof. While giving the water element to any fabric can work, they don't have a permanent effect unlike this specific fabric.

Floor 2: Arche ⤸ click me

11.5 kilometers in height with 6,078 kilometers radius (116 million square kilometers in width). It generally has a topical environment, though somewhat cold.

Due their actions, the amount of hatred towards the visitors have grown higher, so much so that every visitor is now called “fallen”.
The Umbra Sea: referred to the main, large, circular inland sea in the middle of Arche, which leads to F1.
Skia bay city: the capital city of Arche. Located right next to the inland sea, in the west.
Doxa casino: a casino ran by the Doxa clan, specifically Rowan. Asmodeus spends a lot of his time there.
Statue of Belial: a memorial for the diseased lord belial, since he used to rule in there before Asmodeus, placed at the center of Skia.
Behemoth's lair: Located in the eastern side of Arche, surrounded by 4 towns with each tasked to keep Behemoth in his lair.
Potami town: the town of the west, tasked with keeping Behemoth.
Coeus Academy: harper used to study there for a year before she became homeschooled. Eden wished he could educate in there, though his financial situation didn't allow him to, so harper just gave some of the textbooks and notes for eden to study.
Phoebe library: part of Coeus academy, with limited access and a banned area that only the higher lords are allowed to enter.
Osmi Antos: a seemingly innocent looking flower shop, though it's an extension of the fallen group. Eden and rayan work in there.

Fashion:

Be as extra and glamorous as possible, it shows that you're rich.

Floor 3: Peor ⤸ click me

12 kilometers in height with 5,500 kilometers radius (100 million square kilometers in width) with a cold, mountainous, and rainy environment. Peor has been separated into “the country” and “the kingdom (Royaume)” for centuries, and the two sides are socially and economically very different.

The kingdom/Royaume: the eastern side of Peor, known for its traditional, gothic system. The people were treated poorly by the royals and nobles for many years before the commoners' rise to power.
The sky castle: where Belphegor lives in isolation. Bune also resides in there.
Sumbre academy: one of the great academies in hell, known for its quality and strictness. Hugh is its principal, with Alice and Cedric being college students there.

Fashion:

While the country is very minimalistic with its clothing norms and styles, Royaume is known to have a gothic, maximalist fashion.

Fun fact: from F3 onwards, if you fall inside the central hole of the floor, you'll keep looping by falling kilometers over and over again until someone saves you out.

Floor 4: Sheol ⤸ click me

12.5 kilometers in height with 5,150 kilometers radius (83 million square kilometers in width) with a warm and mildly dry weather and a mountainous condition. Sheol's living conditions are harsh, as its lord is cold and greedy, and the stratified society within has caused the country to be generally below the poverty line.

The Grand Colosseum: the largest stadium of Imperium, where death matches happen in there. Whoever who wins in the battlefield gets Abaddon's "blood" and becomes a member of the Megas clan.
The Templum: Abaddon's realm, a temple at the center of the Imperium. On many occasions, people have to offer wealth and goods to their lord in there.
MT Sheol: the largest mountain in Sheol, going from east to southwest corners of the ring-shaped floor.
The Eleutheria village: located in southeast of Sheol, made by a group named “The Timeless”. All the members there ran away from the Imperium and Abaddon's wrathful gaze.

Floor 5: Fleorge ⤸ click me

13 kilometers in height with 4,600 kilometers radius (66 million square kilometers in width) with a mildly cold, rainy weather. It has many green areas, though they're all restricted. While the conditions in Fleorge are good and the technology is also quite advanced, this floor isn't much populated— and whoever who enters never leaves, for whatever reason.

The Florence Dolls Factory: the most important place in hell for its creation of “artificial souls”, robots who work using Magia as their energy source. There are other branches of this factory under different names, but this one in Fleorge city is very well known by many people.
The Orion Academy: the largest and only academy of Fleorge. Has a northern wing and southern wing in Fleorge city.
